...and He made from one, every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times, and the boundaries of their habitation, that they should seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. – Acts 17:26-27

Introduction

As mentioned in the audio introduction, it is not a coincidence that each one of us was born in this generation and in the culture that we identify with. In this section, we seek to emphasize how the Holy Spirit is redeeming the cultures of this world by raising up witnesses from their cultures to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to examine the cultures of the world by revealing the aspects of the culture that are dictated by the god of this world and revealing the redemption of every culture by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ministry Profile of the Month

The Passion for Christ Movement is an Los Angeles based ministry that focuses on presenting the truth of Christ which is Biblically and theologically sound while being cultural relevant. By implementing small Bible studies and urban evangelism through the venue of music and arts, this ministries seeks to make the truth of Christ personal to a younger generation who remain skeptical and alienated from Him. The Passion for Christ Movement is making an unprecedented move by introducing its own college ministry called The Uprising. It all started with a couple of students who took the same passion and boldness seen in the inspring videos from P4CM to their college campuses. By merely taking a strong stand for gospel of Jesus Christ, prestigous universities such as UCLA, Floridia and Claremont went into mini revivals. Christian and non Christian groups could all attest to the impact made by these few young Christians. The large response demanded some sort of organization, UCLA organized its own college bible study. The bible study was such a success that it is spreading to other campuses.

Artist Profile of the Month

In this month, we profile Hazakim. Founded in 1997, Hazakim (Hebrew for "strong ones") consists of emcees/producers, Michael and Anthony, who also happen to be blood brothers. Due to an upbringing in the Messianic Jewish movement, as well as multicultural roots which include Jewish ancestry, their sound possesses a trademark Hebrew influence which sets them apart from other hip-hop artists. By applying as their motto the charge of Rav Sha’ul (Paul) in II Timothy 4:2, "preach the Word, be urgent in season and out of season; convince, rebuke, and exhort - be unfailing in patience and in teaching", using the medium of hip-hop culture and through the scriptures they strive to: Convince the non-believer of the Messiahship of Jesus and their need for Him as Redeemer and Lord; Encourage and admonish the believer to trust the Word of God in faith and knowledge; and adhere to and teach the sound doctrine which was taught by the Lord and his disciples.

Blending hip-hop and apologetics (an explanation or defense of the Biblical faith) they present what they call "Hip-Hologetics". From their fresh vocal delivery to their poignant lyrical content and their soulfully creative production; by God’s grace, Hazakim has been in the lab perfecting their craft and are hard at work to bring you more Hip-Hologetics! They have devoted their gift of poetry to the Lord, making Him the focus of every rhyme. Through the power and sovereignty of God, they strive to be teachers and ministers - an effective evangelistic voice to this generation. Amazingly, they have seen the Lord use this ministry awesomely in leading the lost - Jew and gentile, young and old - to the Messiah. After all, it is not the method, but the message in which lies the power.
